Now that you have your 2 years GC, its time for you to start gathering documents for your Removal of Conditions.

What are the documents that you can submit when filing for ROC?

-Form I-751
-Copy of GC
-Petitioners and Beneficiary ID
-Joint monthly checking/savings account notice/statements
-Car insurance notices (showing both names)
-Copy of Health insurance (if you are in the list as beneficiary)
-Apartment lease showing both names (to prove joint tenancy) or House Mortgage
-Copies monthly bills (showing both names) such cable, internet, water, electric etc.
-Photos with family and friends
-Copy of Joint Tax Return
-Copy of House Insurance

This are only a few examples of documents which you can submit for your ROC. You can add more documents for as long as both of the Petitioner and beneficiary's name appears on those documents.

There are situations when the wife is not in the list of house mortgage, if you are one of them and you are about to file for your Removal of Conditions, this sample letter may help you. Because as we all know, during this stage, it is very important for you to prove that you have a bonafide marriage to your US Citizen Spouse.

Greetings!

This is to inform your good office, that my wife, MARIA MAKILING STORM is not in the list of my house mortgage liability since the property was acquired when I was still single. I don't want her also to be legally obligated and feel the burden of paying the debt regardless of any circumstances.

Things to do Upon Arrival in the US

Go to the nearest courthouse then get marriage license. Then get married.
Get a Social Security Number - wait about two weeks then go to the nearest SSA office and get a Social Security Number. Don't forget to bring your I-94, birth certificate & passport. If you are already married by the time you go to SSA office bring also your marriage certificate. You can use the form below (use the link) and fill it up then print, bring it with you.

Look for a USCIS accredited Civil Surgeon in your area. Use the link below to locate a CS close to where you live. Just enter the Zip Code. You will need to call those CS listed coz the prices of their service are different, you maybe able to save $$$ once you find out who offer the cheapest service. Don't forget to bring your Vaccination Worksheet from St. Lukes because they will be using it to determine if you still need additional shots. If you still need additional shotss, asked him what are those shots you needed and if you can have those shots in the Health Center coz they are way cheaper to have it there. And you will come back to have them transcribe your immunization. They will give it to you in a sealed envelope. Don't open it!

Please note that you are not required to have another medical examination as long as your Form i-485 is filed within one year of your overseas medical examination, and the medical examination did not reveal a Class A medical condition, or if you did have a class A medical condition, you received a waiver of inadmissibility and have complied with the terms and conditions on the waiver. I have a few friends who also had their transcription made in the Public Health Office since they have a license Civil Surgeons as well. And they said that it's also cheaper to have it transcribe by them. So, you can try that as well so you have options.

   You also have to specify document delivery if you want it to be delivered to your home. But you can change that during interview if you want it to be picked up in Mall of Asia and other specific locations. That is why i would recommend to have your visa picked up in your just within the Manila area. Believe me, its faster.
   
   
   On the Payment Information you can write your "Receipt Number from BPI Deposit Slip. Some people used their Passport Number as their receipt number if their receipt number from BPI deposit slip don't work or was not accepted in the system. So you may try that as well. If it happened that still you can't get through in the scheduling of your appointment, you can wait a few hours more. It maybe because your receipt number is not yet in their system.
   
   
   Then finally, select the date for your interview.  Then print the confirmation at least 3 copies.
